Lazy Frog Farms is a privately owned and family operated breeding operation, located outside of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
We strive to produce athletic partners with great temperaments, willing dispositions, and the talent for a variety of disciplines.
Our horses are suitable for the amateur or professional owner as Hunter/Jumper, Dressage, or Eventing prospects.

Horses
It started with one wonderful thoroughbred mare that turned out to be the best mother and easy to breed mare. Each year we
carefully choose the Oldenburg or Hanoverian stallion to breed her to. Occasionally we lease a nice mare to breed as well.
We usually have one to two foals a year so that we can give adequate attention and training to each one until 2 or 3 years
old. We keep all our young horses in training for sport horse breed shows and hunter breed shows. Showing and training a
3-year-old, 2 year-old, yearling and weanling or two sure keeps our hands full!

Mules
We have spent over 18 years training and showing mules in every discipline including English, Western, Trail, Jumpers, Hunters,
and Driving. Even though the focus of the operation has turned to sport horses, we still have the retired "baby-sitter"
mule for training young horses and occasionally have a young mule for sale.
